ABOUT ME
Welcome to Glastonbury Piano Lessons!
My name is Emily, and I offer piano lessons for children and adults from beginner to Grade 5.
I've been playing the piano for over 30 years and have previously run piano teaching studios in both Swindon & Bridgwater.
I've achieved Grades 1 to 8 from the London College Of Music, as well as the diploma, DipLCM.
​
Before having my children, I was also a professional pianist for many years, playing at hundreds of weddings and events throughout the UK during my career.
​
I am fully insured and have an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
​
I believe that learning to play the piano should be a fun & enjoyable experience, and I strive to create a positive and encouraging environment for all of my students. I absolutely LOVE music and am passionate about promoting the positive effects music can have on mental health.
​
​We play a lot of games and use lots of different teaching methods to ensure you or your child are never bored, and come away from the lesson feeling inspired to continue practising at home.
Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate player, I can help you improve your skills, reach your goals & most importantly, have fun!

I teach my lessons from my dedicated home music studio in Havyatt, near Glastonbury, Somerset.
​
Lessons are offered in 30 minute, 45 minute & 1 hour slots depending on my availability (term-time only).
​
I recommend children up to age 9 start off with a 30 minute lesson, those aged 9-14 have a 45 minute lesson and those aged 14 and above, have a 1 hour lesson each week if possible.
​
I take students from 5 years old as long as they're able to sit still for 30 minutes and have the ability to concentrate and listen.
​
If you or your child is interested in starting piano, please drop me an email and we'll arrange for you to come for a chat. We'll run through how everything works & I'll ask you lots of questions to get to know you. I'll also give you a free 20 minute taster lesson so you can see if my piano lessons are the right fit for you and/or your family.
Pricing
Pricing is as follows:

30 Minute Lesson each week: £15
45 Minute Lesson each week: £21.75
1 Hour Lesson each week: £28

Payments are due at the start of each half term. Prices for the next term are as follows:

Monday 4th November - Friday 20th December 2024

1 Hour Lesson each x 7: £196

Spring Half Term 1 (6 weeks):
Monday 6th January - Friday 14th February 2025

Spring Half Term 2 (6 weeks):
Monday 24th February - Friday 4th April 2025

Summer Half Term 1 (4 weeks):
Monday 28th April - Friday 23rd May 2025

Summer Half Term 2 (7 weeks):
Monday 2nd June - Friday 18th July 2025

Payment should be made by standing order/online banking or cash by the 1st of each month please.

Please make sure you give me 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel a lesson. If 24 hours notice (or more) is given, I will try and reschedule your lesson for a different date (maximum of once per half term). If less than 24 hours notice is given, unfortunately the lesson will still be charged.
​
If for any reason, you wish to stop piano lessons, I will require 1 month's notice.
